“CHAPTER DOS” IS A FUSION OF TRADITIONAL DOMINICAN BACHATA
WITH URBAN AND POP RHYTHM SOUNDS
MIAMI, FL (November 25th, 2008) – The highly anticipated new album by Bachata’s hottest duo, Danny Mejia and Steven Tejada of XTREME hits stores nationwide today. With over 200.000 units sold of their previous album, “Haciendo Historia”, in the United States and Puerto Rico alone, these multi platinum artists have set the precedent of success for this new production entitled “CHAPTER DOS”.
“Chapter Dos” contains 13 new songs, such as “La Esquina de Don Andres”, “Lloro y Lloro”, “Quiero Ser”, “Su Ultimo Error”, “Por que Sera”, “Te Recuerdas” and “La Pesadilla” among others which were all composed and produced by the talented duo. Despite having their signature sound, the album offers a salsa track “Esta Emergencia”, co-produced with renowned producer, Sergio George who has worked with top Latin artists, such as Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Tito Puente, La India and Victor Manuelle, among others.
Winners of Premio Lo Nuestro 2006, and recently nominated to the Latin Billboard Awards 2008 for Best New Group in the “Tropical Album of the Year” category with their previous album “Haciendo Historia”, Xtreme is known for their innovative style, sound and way of bridging together the bilingual culture of Latino’s in the United States, while maintaining mainstream appeal as witnessed by the major success of their hit single, “Shorty Shorty”. With “Chapter Dos”, Danny and Steven offer fans a new fusion in sound by mixing the traditional Dominican bachata beat with their urban and pop rhythm influences.
Their new hit single,” Through That Window” has already positioned itself in the Top 10 in Billboard’s Latin Rhythm chart, confirming the duo’s massive popularity. Following firmly along, is their new video, which has quickly been escalating popularity charts on all video channels nationwide and has quickly become a fan favorite. As part of the promotional tour for this new album, Danny and Steven currently find themselves in Chicago where they are offering an autograph signing and will then continue on to New York for another in-store, Then on December 8th they will embark on a week long promotion in Los Angeles where they will perform at Club Nokia on the 13th of December. The duo will then finalize 2008 with a bang during a special performance on the prime time show, Sabado Gigante on December 20th.
