COMPLETE SUCCESS FOR LUIS FONSI IN HIS NEW YORK CONCERT

A ECSTATIC NOKIA THEATER IN THE HEART OF TIMES SQUARE WELCOMED BACK LUIS FONSI TO THE UNITED STATES AFTER HAVING JUST SOLD-OUT A TEN CITY TOUR IN SPAIN

During a show that went well over an hour and a half, Fonsi performed all his hits which already tally up to 6 NUMBER ONES on the HOT LATIN SONGS chart of Billboard and also performed the songs that have always been number ones in the hearts of his fans, songs that the whole theater sang in unison with Fonsi. He thanked his fans for their continuous support throughout his 10 year career and for his thirteen nominations for this year’s Premio Juventud, a new record for the highest one year tally in the award show’s history, nominations determined by online fan voting. Without a doubt this was an unforgettable night where Fonsi was able to interact with his New York fans.

Luis Fonsi continues his tour in the United States this weekend with shows in the following cities:

· June 13: Hartford, CT – Webster Theatre

Fonsi notched a second consecutive week as the NUMBER ONE Latin song in the country with AQUÍ ESTOY YO, second single form his album PALABRAS DEL SILENCIO. “Aquí Estoy Yo” has also reached the number one spot in Chile and the Top 5 in Mexico, Central America and the rest of Latin America. “Palabras Del Silencio” has reached DOUBLE PLATINUM status in the U.S. and Venezuela and GOLD status in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia.

Aside form his shows this weekend in the U.S., Luis Fonsi has confirmed his participation in the shows that will take place in Jalisco, Mexico, organized by Alejandro Fernandez in a show of support for tourism in that country; these concerts will take place on June 20th and 27th.
