MIAMI, FL (February 22, 2010) - Throughout the 18 years of his career, Diego Torres has placed himself as one of the most recognized Latin artist in the world. Diego will present a new chapter in his story with his album Distinto, a release scheduled for the beginning of May, 2010; this will be the eighth album in his career and the first with Universal Music.

Distinto marks a new path for Diego Torres in the footsteps of Rock, a style that has always interested Diego, but that he had never embarked on; however he could not have done it at a better time since his previous 7 albums have all led him to this different path, which he has even talked about on Twitter: "This new CD has a different sound and a change in the artistic direction of the arrangements. This change in the artistic direction of his career can be seen in every note of "Guapa" the first single from Distinto which will be released to radio today Monday February 22, the e-single of "Guapa" will be available in the United States and Puerto Rico starting Tuesday February 23^rd in all leading digital stores. "Guapa" brings a different rhythm, one more oriented towards Rock; however it does not lose the essence that has made him stand out.

Diego was accompanied by an outstanding team in the recording of "Guapa", including Rafa Arcaute as co-producer of the song along with Diego, and the participation of Noel Schajris (Sin Bandera), as co-writer. Noel is a musician with whom Diego shares not only his nationality but also a friendship that has been a great incentive for this project.

MIAMI, FL (22 de febrero de 2010) - Con una carrera de más de 18 años en los que ha logrado consolidarse como uno de los cantantes latinos de mayor éxito a nivel internacional, Diego Torres presenta un nuevo capítulo en su historia con la edición a inicios de mayo de 2010 de Distinto, el octavo material en su trayectoria y el primero para Universal Music.

Distinto marca un acercamiento de Diego Torres con el rock, un terreno que si bien siempre lo ha apasionado, no había pisado anteriormente ni tampoco podría haberlo hecho en un momento mejor que ahora, cuando los pasos que ha dado con cada uno de los siete discos anteriores lo han empujado a emerger con una propuesta realmente distinta, algo que él ha expresado inclusive en su cuenta de Twitter: "...les cuento que el CD vendrá con sonido nuevo y un cambio en la dirección artística de los arreglos. Este cambio en la dirección musical de su carrera queda de manifiesto en cada una de las notas que dan vida a "Guapa", primer sencillo de Distinto y cuyo estreno mundial en radio será hoy lunes, 22 de febrero, el e-single de "Guapa" estará disponible en los Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico en las principales tiendas digitales comenzando el martes 23 de febrero. En "Guapa", Diego apuesta por un sonido más rítmico y orientado al rock pero sin perder esa esencia que ha convertido en su marca personal.

Para grabar "Guapa", Diego contó con un equipo de primer nivel, incluyendo a Rafa Arcaute en la co-producción del tema junto a Diego, y la participación de Noel Schajris (Sin Bandera) en la co-autoría de la canción, músico con quien Diego no sólo comparte nacionalidad (ambos argentinos, nacidos en Buenos Aires) sino una entrañable amistad que para este proyecto se ha convertido en enriquecedor aliciente.
