The Queen of Latin Urban Music Films Epic Music Video That Uses Both Urban and Bachata Versions of Her New Hit Single

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 18, 2010) - IVY QUEEN, Latin urban music's leading lady, has never been one to follow the pack and her new music video will once again showcase why "La Diva" is always at the forefront of innovation in the entertainment world. The video for "La Vida Es Asi", filmed yesterday in the city of Miami, will break the mold by using two versions of her new hit single as the backdrop for what will be an epic storyline and next level production. "La Vida Es Asi", the first official single from Ivy's new album "DRAMA QUEEN", is a double-headed radio hit with two versions that are quickly becoming the most requested songs at urban and tropical radio. The original urban version is an aggressive thrill ride that takes the listener through the story of retribution while the Bachata version slows down the pace and allows "La Caballota's" unmistakable voice and lyrics to ride the waves of a Luny Tunes's tropical rhythms. Produced and directed by Marlon Pena, the music video for will switches from the pulsating urban version of "La Vida Es Asi" to the tropical flow of the bachata version of the song as the story unfolds. The plotline follows the character of Ivy as a woman who has her heartbroken by a deceitful lover only to gather her strength and show the world that in the end the ultimate payback is demonstrating that she is better off and unbreakable both in body and spirit. The video was filmed throughout the city of Miami including scenes at Miami Beach's famous Mansionand Cameo nightclubs. The video will be released in early June both online and video channels throughout the world. Ivy Queen's new album "Drama Queen" will be released in all formats on July 13 and will feature appearances by Franco El Gorila, Jadiel, De La Ghetto, Franks Reyes and Latin music superstars Wisin & Yandel and production by Tainy, DJ Blas, Leny from Aventura and Luny. The star will also undertake an aggressive promotional tour throughout the US and Puerto Rico this summer in support of her new epic.
