MIAMI, FL (May 7, 2010) - Universal Music Latin Entertainment artists lead list of the 7th Annual "Premios Juventud" Awards with 17 nominations. Alejandro Fernández, Espinoza Paz, Luis Fonsi, Jenni Rivera, Juanes, Don Omar, and Wisin y Yandel have nominations in nine categories.
Luis Fonsi leading with five nominations in areas Voz del Momento, Mi Concierto Favorito (Luis Fonsi "Palabras del Silencio") and Mi Artista Pop Favorito. Wisín y Yandel gainedthree nominations: La Combinación Perfecta (Aventura, Wisin y Yandel y Akon "All Up to You") and Mi Artista Urbano Favorito.
Alejandro Fernández earned two nominations in two categories: Mi Concierto Favorito ("Tour Viento a Favor") and Mi Artista Regional Mexicano Favorito. Also, Espinosa Paz takes two nominations for Mi Artista Regional Mexicano Favorito and Voz del Momento. Jenni Rivera standout in the Regional Mexicano category, Rivera also has a nomination in "Cultura Popular".
In the urban genre Don Omar conquered a nomination in the category Mi Artista Urbano Favorito; while rock singer-songwriter Juanes earned a nomination: Mi Artista Rock Favorito.
The award ceremony will air livenext Thursday, July 15th at 7pm (6pm central) ET/ PT direct from Bank United Center at the University of Miami thru Univision Network. Premios Juventud Awards winners are elected by Hispanic youth byvoting on Univision.com (keyword: Premios Juventud) or by mobile phone. The voting period will be open until May 27 at 11: 59 pm hour Pacific.
