Today is March 31st...the anniversary of the birth of Cesar Chavez in Yuma, Arizona. Chavez was a Mexican American activist, who together w/ the American Federation of Labor and the Congress of Industrial Organization (AFL-CIO), created the United Farmworkers Association in 1966. He was a leader for Chicano people at that time and remains a leader today. He fought for a cause he believed in, which changed an entire community, a nation.
