THE DYNAMIC DUO WAS AWARDED BY THE LATIN ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS & SCIENCES FOR THEIR ALBUM “LOS EXTRATERRESTRES”
Miami, FL (Friday November 14,2008) – Although the dynamic duo could not attend the 9th annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, Wisin & Yandel’s presence was still felt with their greatest accomplishment to date. The duo won a Latin GRAMMY® for “Best Urban Album” for their multi-platinum album “Los Extraterrestres”. On top of their record breaking album sales and worldwide tour, these superstars can now call themselves Grammy award winners.
“We can’t get over the surprise. We are very happy with this award for which we have worked hard for the past 10 years. We thank God, our families, producers and the members of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. We want to share this with the rest of our Puertorican peers that were also nominated Alexis & Fido, Tego Calderon and Tito “El Bambino” – declared Wisin & Yandel.

Wisin & Yandel intend to end 2008 not just with all their amazing success but with a new album that presents Dj Nesty (Ernesto F. Padilla) reggaeton music’s most acclaimed producer and their longtime collaborator.
This is Nesty´s first solo effort and includes collaborations with Wisin & Yandel and the roster of artists signed to WY Records (Jayko, Tony Dize, Gadiel, Franco “El Gorila”, and Tico “El Imigrante”). Nesty also teams up with Alexis & Fido in the song “Super Hero”. Other tracks on the album include the first single, “Me Estas Tentando”(with Wisin & Yandel), “Sex”, “Ella Quiere”, “No Te Vayas”, “Desnudémonos”, “Vamo a Hacerlo” among others.
