By: Christina and Sylvia Grate

The Grammy Museum and the Latin Recording Academy presented the multicultural trio composed of Alex Ubago, Jorge Villamizar, and Lena Burke at an intimate showcase, Thursday. The event took place at the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. Interwoven between heartfelt performances, radio personality, Carlos Alvarez of KLVE 107.5, posed questions to the three singer-songwriters, who are already famous in their own individual rights. Following the showcase, the three performers signed autographs and took pictures with audience members.

After an extraordinary introduction by Alvarez, Alex, Jorge, and Lena performed the upbeat pop song titled, "La Canción del Pescado." Following each song, Alvarez questioned the trio composed of a Cuban (Lena), a Columbian (Jorge), and a Spaniard (Alex) on topics such as the formation of the trio, the creation of the album, and the future plans of the group. He also gave each artist the opportunity to share a little bit about their solo careers.

Along with performances of songs from their new album, such as "Mil Maneras de Querer," "Si Ya No Tengo Tu Corazón," and their hit single, "Estar Contigo," each performer sang the song which catapulted his or her career. Alex Ubago interpreted "A Gritos de Esperanza" with Lena. Lena and the guys performed her song titled, "Tu Corazón." And, Jorge sang his hit from when he was in the group Bacilos, "Cara Luna," with Alex and Lena. They closed the show with a tropical-infused rhythmic song titled, "Mas Na' Contigo." They were then presented with certificates for performing at the Clive Davis Theater in the Grammy Museum.

To culminate an amazing musical experience, attendees were able to meet the trio, take pictures, and get their albums signed. Some attendees were lucky enough to take a picture with all three artists at the same time. Overall, this was a showcase that will be remembered for many years to come.
